The PC Serious Sam games were incredibly fun if you grew up on Quake and Doom and Duke Nukem, though the time I had personally with SS 2 on Xbox 1 was fun, except for a few frustrating parts. Serious Sam 3 is based on the Serious Engine 3.5 and sports some of the best visuals. This engine is also being developed to harness the full capacity of HDR and high definition mapping. That's like playing the Wii Far Cry and never playing another Far Cry game because you disliked the Wii version. To anyone who only played the console games and written them off as poor, you haven't given the franchise its chance.
